Second Day (RAILWAY VACATION)

Yeayyyyy!!!! after 22 hours. We reach BANGKOK at 10.30am without delay. huhu

The first thing to do, find FOOD.. we only eat bread that we brought from Malaysia last night. We are really hungry now.

There are 3 halal restaurant that you can find around the Hualamphon Train Station.

There is one halal restaurant on the outside. But unfortunately, it's close that day. The restaurant located around 7Eleven. You can just go to 7Eleven and ask from local people around there. To go to 7Eleven, when you are facing Dunkin Donut, the door at the left.

Above picture is the sign of the restaurant. You will have communication problem with some of local people. You can just show this photo, it's easier.

Another choice, you can eat at a fod court in the train station. There are 2 halal restaurants there.

At Hualamphon train station, there also has prayer room for muslim. After eating and pray. we start our journey in BANGKOK. huhu.

1. VICTORIA MONUMENT

We go to victoria monument by Taxi. It cost us 115THB. We go to Victoria Monument because there's the place for taking van to kanchanaburi, We want to check last van to Kanchanaburi and buy the ticket. They said, the last van at 6.00pm. So, we decide to buy the ticket when we reach there around 5.00pm something. I plan to meet GD, Sarah and others. (Thai Friends). The monument in Thailand located at the centre of round board. So, it's impossible for us to go close to the monument.

2. CHINA TOWN (Yaowarat Road)

Victoria Monument to China Town, Taxi (110 THB)

Chinatown, you can say it's like Petaling Street in Malaysia. They sell a lot of stuff. Shoes, beg, toys and much more. Of course you can see the buildings.

We can say that today is an ARCHITECTURE day.. we see buildings, monument and something like that. For science student, we learn new things even we don't really understand what an architecture student perspective when see a building. We trying hard enough to understand..... really,... haha

3. GRAND PALACE

From China Town to Grand Palace, Taxi ( 75 THB )

Heaven for architecture student. haha. Grand palace is really large, We don't enter inside because the tickets not under our budget. It's also not worth because we only have half an hour before the place is close, But, Nahhhhh. It's ok. We still can walk inside, look around.

Brings cap guys,, It's really hot.

Aimi is acting like she is a tour guard. haha

4. GIANT SWING

That is a swing once use in a swing ceremony in Thailand. Really huge. You can read the history in wikipedia. haha

We go Giant swing by tuk tuk from the Grand Palace. (100 THB) Taxi is cheaper than tuk tuk. Do take taxi meter. You can save a lot. T_T

5. MEET GD, SARAH, CHERRY, FAI

We meet Sarah and Cherry at Ratchatewi BTS. They bring us dinner at Halal Restaurant. There are a good deal of halal foods along the road. Yehoo. The food was really nice. But we enjoy it in a rush because we have to catch van at 6.00pm.. Thanks for the treat girls..

After we finish eat, we rushing to Victoria monument.

We use BTS. First time using it in Thailand. It's like LRT in Malaysia.

THIRD CHALLENGE.. haha.. when we reach the place that we ask for the tickets before, the place was close and i'm just thinking OH MY GOD! We are in trouble..

We are really grateful that we have GD,Sarah and Cherry that help us. They try to ask local people where to buy another van ticket. Finally, we found one place. Alhamdulillah.

The tickets cost 120THB for each person.

Around 6.30pm we leave Bangkok to Bus Station,Kanchanaburi. The journey take for 2 and half an hour. The van is like a bus. It will stop at several places. Every stop, we dont even understand what the driver says because all in Thai language. We are dead for second time.. hahahha. how would we know if we are arriving..

So, we ask GD to write in thai to tell people near my seat to tell me if we reach Station Bus Kanchanaburi. The funny things is. Gd had wrongly type. she supposedly say " tell the phone owner if the van reach Bus Station Kanchanaburi" something like that.. but.. She write " tell me if you reach Station Bus Kanchanaburi" haha

Without knowing what she writes, I just show to a guy next to me. He explain, your friend ask to tell her if you reach bus station Kanchanaburi. I'm shocked. yeayyyyyyy.. He can speak english.. so, I'm asking his help to tell us if the van reach Station Bus Kanchanaburi. He agree because his destination is after us... Fuhhhhhhh... Lega. haha. After a few minutes, GD realise that she wrongly write.. hahaha. but its ok. Problem Solve...
