Hei guys. Teng tereng teng teng. It's quite a long time I didn't post anything here. My Taiwan's story also not finish yet.haha

To start again posting story in this blog, I think let's start with something  "fresh". So, let me share about my RAILWAY VACATION.

This vacation was on 20/1/2016 until 25/1/2016. Why railway vacation? Simple, because we use the train to Thailand instead of taking flight.  Adventurous katanya. haha. Actually, we plan to go to Korea. But, consider about money condition, we decided to postpone and change to Thailand.

There 4 of us, me,nisaq, aimi and ari.Actually should be 5. But ina's mom not allowed. So 4 girls , for this journey.

                                                                  The squad

Before the journey,of course there will be a lot of preparation. so, we divided the task like:

-accommodation
-transportation
-places of interest
-treasurer

About the expenses or cost. We decide to collect RM500 for each person for accommodation, transportation and tour. We have our own account to collect that money. Most of us not coming from a wealthy family. So, we have like one semester to collect  the money and some of us do a part time job.

There's a will, there's a way.

The preparation before going.....

We read a lot guys. A LOT. Doing research, Read blogs. Just to make a perfect plan for this trip. This vacation is really a budget vacation . We try to save as much as possible.

1. Accommodation

For accommodation, we plan or arrange the tentative that we will spend the night in the train. So, we can save money for accommodation.

It's easy to find accommodations nowadays. Use agoda and trivago. You can find many accommodation and you can sort it according to price.

What we see when finding an accommodation.

   1. Price (we want the cheapest as possible. Best choice is BACKPACKERS HOSTEL )
   2. Location (important to save your transportation cost. It must near to place of interest that you               will visit)
   3. Facilities. (even you want cheaper price, but please consider the facilities. You want cheap price          but you also want the comfortable one)

we book like a month before. If you have fix date. Its better to book early because some of the places have limited room or bed. Usually you must pay using debit or visa. But we have a problem with our card. So, we just email all the places that we wanna book and just tell them that you wanna pay on the day that you wanna check in. SIMPLE =)

2. Transportation

Perak-Butterworth,Pulau Pinang

We use bus. No need to rush to buy bus ticket. There's a lot.

Butterworth-Bangkok

The train from Malaysia straight to Bangkok is only from Butterworth. The train from Kl Central is only to Hatyai. There's only one train for each day and the seat is really limited. So,  need to book early. You can book the tickets at any KTM train station. As early as one month before the date. We went on 20/1/2016, so we can start buy on 21/12/2015.

Bangkok-Katchanaburi

We buy in Bangkok

Bangkok-Hatyai

Ask my friend in Thailand to help us buy the tickets.. We are so grateful that GD willing to help us. She pass me the tickets when she visit Malaysia.. Thanks GD and Sarah..

Glad to know this bunch of peoples. See you again guys..

Other way to buy train ticket in Thailand is by using this website http://www.thailandtrainticket.com/

Hatyai-Perak

Need to buy at Hatyai.

3. Place of interest

Nisaq and Ari in charge for this part.

Learn from others experience is the best way to learn.

4. Change Money to Thai Baht

Convert the money before going is easier. Malaysia condition nowadays have made our currency drop like hell.. We change 1000THB for RM125.00.

There are two places that you can get the cheapest rate that i know.

  •  Mid valley

  •  Jaya Shopping Mall, near to Cold Storage

Make a plan for your journey. But don't expect we will follow the plan 100%. The plan is just for our guide. When going somewhere, always be ready that there will be some unexpected things will happen. That's  the fun part in a journey. ADVENTUROUS!! hahaha Make Yourself Flexible.
